Solid Waste Removal Rate Increase The City of Senoia contracts with Dependable Waste Services, Inc. for the removal of solid waste. The Mayor was recently notified that Dependable Waste will be increasing the cost of this service. Currently, residential customers are charged $11.50 each month for solid waste removal. Effective June 1, 2008, the Mayor and Council approved an increase for this service. The new rate for solid waste removal will be $11.85. Dependable Waste stated the increase is due the rising cost of fuel.

Gin Street to be closed The Mayor and Council approved the petition of Historical Development Ventures to close Gin Street in order to accommodate infrastructure and road improvements within the redevelopment of the Gin Property. The street will be closed through July 1, 2008. |
