The Public Works Department in the City of Senoia manages the following areas:

Street Department

The Street Department and its staff are responsible for maintaining City streets and other public right-of-ways.

The Senoia Street Department provides many services that help maintain the quality of our neighborhoods. Depending on the season of the year, they include re-paving, patching, crack-filling, resurfacing, curbside leaf and lawn clipping collection and storm damage pick-up.

Water Management

The City's Water Management department seeks to deliver clean and safe water to the residents of Senoia.
J & T Environmental do regular tests of our water as well as manage the city's water plant.

A water meter measures the amount of water coming into your home or business. Your water meter is located outside your home in the city right of way. A trained public works employee reads the meter every month. You are billed for the amount of water you use. The bill covers the costs of treating and distributing the water. Sometimes, the city must buy water from Coweta County. All of these costs and the wages for the utility’s staff must be met.

If you suspect a problem, such as a leak, at your home or business please call City Hall (770) 599-3679 during business hours or the Police Department after business hours (770) 254-3911. They will immediately contact a member of the Public Works Department who will identify the source of the problem. If the problem is in an area outside our area of responsibility, we can provide you with guidance in correcting the problem.

Water Rates for the City of Senoia:

• Residential: $11 for the 1st 1500 gallons, $3.50 for each 1000 gallons thereafter
• Commercial: $15 for the 1st 1500 gallons, $4.00 for each 1000 gallons thereafter
• Industrial: $25 for the 1st 1500 gallons, $4.25 for each 1000 gallons thereafter

Waste Water / Sewer Management

City of Senoia Public Works Department manages the city’s wastewater system. 

If you suspect a problem with the sewer system at your home or business please call City Hall (770) 599-3679 during business hours or the Police Department after business hours (770) 254-3911.  They will immediately contact a member of the Public Works Department who will identify the source of the problem.  If the problem is in an area outside our area of responsibility, we can provide you with guidance in correcting the problem.

Sewer Rates for the City of Senoia

Sewer rates are determined by the amount of water consumed by the customer.

Residential: $19 for the 1st 1500 gallons, $4.00 for each 1000 thereafter
Commercial: $220 per the 1st 20,000 gallons, $4.00 for each 1,000 gallons thereafter

Sanitation Department

Our sanitation company is Dependable Waste.(770) 719-9184

Curb-side pick up is on Wednesday.  Trash should be in tied bags and in the receptacles.

Please have the receptacles at the curb no earlier than noon on Tuesday and returned to the house no later than noon on Thursday.

Dependable Waste picks up large household items.  Call (770) 719-9184 to schedule a pick up.  Please do not place these items curb until the day before the scheduled pick up. 

All residential water customers in the City of Senoia are required to pay a Sanitation Fee of $11.85 per month.
